Orlando, FL- More than 1,000 Moms from across America came to Orlando for the Moms For Liberty National Summit at the Gaylord Palms Resort.  A 4-day gathering showcasing “Joyful Warriors” in action.  An event of speakers, vendors, and visionary ideas that demonstrate moms are essential in raising kids to be productive members of society.  Everyone has a mom. Everyone.  And it’s what these moms do as parents that will determine the difference between success and failure.  Sounds easy, but in our hyper-complicated society where the lines of right and wrong are blurred, it’s a monumental challenge.

Co-founder and CEO of Moms for Liberty Tina Descovich says, “Moms are saving our country and saving Western civilization.” Descovich started Moms For Liberty with Tiffany Justice just four years ago.  Two former school board members in Southeast Florida were fed up with the risk-adverse liberal parenting system and decided to start a grassroots movement.  Descovich’s bedrock statements come from her unwavering patriotic heart, “Our message today is to speak the truth, and the truth is always right.  We’re not out protesting, we’re building, strengthening, empowering, and encouraging one another to convey the truth and craft policy.”

Dynamic words that are getting noticed in Florida’s rough and tumble world of politics. Republican Congressman Byron Donalds from Florida’s southwest 19th district is a strong advocate for Moms For Liberty.  He spoke at the summit to a rousing audience.  He believes that if it were not for a caring mother, he might be on the streets of New York, in jail, and not in the halls of Congress.  He’s running for Florida’s Governor in the upcoming election in 2026. He wants everyone to know and understand, parenting is the name of the game. “Moms For Liberty is a movement about the very fabric of culture in the United States of America.  If moms are active, America is on the right course.  The days of bureaucrats dictating what happens in the life of a child-those days are over in Florida and we’re never looking back…”

The Moms for Liberty summit provides nonprofits and companies with an opportunity to showcase how their vision and products can help the galvanizing “parenting” movement. President Melvin Adams of the nonprofit, Noah Webster Educational Foundation from Bedford, Virginia, came to the event with optimism and pride.  “Families are at the heart of educating our kids. His educational eBooks,  www.nwef.org say everything begins in the family.   “If parents take the time to educate their family and read to their kids, the quality of life will only improve.”

The Moms for Liberty team wears patriotism on their sleeve. It’s all around. The love of America and the fight to make children patriotic is a strong goal. That inspiration gave book writer Jakob Feinstein from Los Angeles a chance to meet the motivated group.  He wants his kids’ book, “This Sweet Land,” This Sweet Land: Feinstein, Jakob: 9798868508486: Amazon.com: Books with colorful illustrations, to be in schoolhouses across Florida and America. A tall order for the self-published writer.  “I published this book in a year because I saw only 38 percent of Americans say patriotism is very important, down from 70 percent in 1998.  My book provides good content, and it spreads the word that patriotism is a must. Moms For Liberty gives confidence in the fight for truth and patriotism.”

The Moms For Liberty movement discussed the daily social media challenges for kids throughout the four days.  A perplexing dilemma in the ever-expanding world of technology to include AI technology.  Founder and CEO A.J. Rice of Zalpha mobile Zalpha Mobile | Dumb phone for kids might have a solution.  He attended the summit, pitching his cell phone.  The Seattle-based company has a phone that provides users with just enough power to keep in touch with families.  “We sell ‘Dumb Phones for Kids’ that have no access to social media, no internet browser, and no app store.  Basic communication with parents exists, but no social media.” Moms at the event were raving about the phone since the smartphone evolution is creating serious issues with parenting.  Rice says, “The Dumb Phone allows kids and parents more time with each other.”

From books to phones and parenting issues, the summit provided good conversation and a strategic plan to move forward.  This organization looks like Turning Point USA in 2020.

Co-founder Descovich is relentless in her mission. “Our mission is to defend parental rights. Once we lose the right to raise our children, you have lost your family, your community…”

Moms For Liberty is the little engine that could, and they hope to be that robust streaking bullet train in the future. Currently, there are 300 chapters in 48 states and growing.  Book writer Julie Lavender Le Doux from New England, who showcased her 5-part book series, Julie Lavender Le Doux | Author, Artist, Musician, at the summit, summed it up.  “Moms For Liberty is so focused, they know what they want, and they know parenting is essential to save the country.”
